Windows 98 (nom de còdi Memphis) es un sistèma operatiu de la societat Microsoft, successor de Windows 95. Lo produch es declinat en doas versions principalas : la premièra sortida lo 25 de junh de 1998 puèi una mesa a jorn de la precedenta dicha "Segonda Edicion", sortida lo 23 d'abril de 1999. Foguèt seguit per Windows ME (Millennium) pel grand public e per Windows 2000 pels entrepresas. Constituís la segonda version de Windows 9x. Tot coma son predecessor, Windows 98 es bastit sus MS-DOS 7.1 e aurà estat la darrièra version a prene en carga lo mòde real.
